Eye Lash Extensions will give you more than just great looking lashes. Applied correctly they can improve facial features, open up tired looking eyes and boost your overall confidence.
On our initial appointment free advise will be given, we will then decide on the length and style of lashes that would best suit your eye and facial features. once applied you will be left with the eye catching and striking look sought after by all.
I OFFER THREE MAIN TYPES OF EYELASH EXTENSIONS WHICH ARE "CLASSIC" , "VOLUME" AND "WISPY / HYBRID" :
BEFORE YOUR EYELASH EXTENSIONS TREATMENT
A skin sensitivity test to the lash extensions adhesive needs to be performed 48 Hrs. before the treatment. Let me know as soon as possible if you experience any irritation, swelling or inflammation of the skin.
On the day of your appointment leave your lashes mascara free, do not apply any moisturiser around the eye area to ensure maximum adhesion of lash extensions. Contact lens wearers should bring a suitable holder for their contact lenses that need to be taken out before the procedure.
Check if you have any of the following conditions that would prevent the treatment
previous lash perming in the last 3 months
dry eye syndrome
positive reaction to the patch test
inflammation or swelling in the eye area
excessively watery eyes
infectious conditions such as conjunctivitis (pink eye), sty, etc.
DURING EYELASH EXTENSIONS TREATMENT
During the procedure between 50-100 lashes will be applied and bonded to your natural eyelashes with a special high quality lash extensions adhesive. As its applied on “lash by lash ” basis, the number of false lashes will depend on the number of your natural eyelashes. Once the glue is dry you can then open your eyes.
Aftercare advise will be given in printed form, after-care and regular maintenance is essential to keeping great looking lashes. Please book your maintenance appointments well in advance.
Will eyelash extensions damage my eyelashes?
Eyelash extensions can be damaging if incorrectly applied, therefore it is essential to use a professionally trained and qualified therapist. Eyelash Extensions must be applied with precision and should never be stuck and clumped together after the application as this is damaging to the eyelashes preventing natural growth and resulting in their premature shedding. Carefully choose your eyelash extensions therapist and ask to see before and after pictures of their work. Look at the images below. The image on the left shows very bad application of the eyelash extensions due to improper training, lack of experience and care. I care about your natural lashes and always take time to apply eyelash extensions with precision as you can see in the other image on the right.
What eyelash/adhesive brand do you use?
I have been trained by college professionals and have NVQ Level 3 in Eyelash Extensions therefore I'm not tied up to any particular brand. However, I always carefully choose professional products that have the best reputation in the industry. I use high quality professional Synthetic Mink Eyelashes that resemble natural lash hair. The false lashes are bonded to the natural lashes using a high quality strong adhesive specially formulated for eyelash extensions is medical grade and safe for use and is also low fume and odour.
How long will my eyelash extensions last?
Your eyelash extensions should last until your natural eyelashes shed with the false one attached due to a natural hair growth cycle between 4-8 weeks. However, your lifestyle, your skin characteristics and after care you provide play the most important role in the durability of the eyelash extensions. If you take part in active exercise, swimming, or use sauna or any other heat services the lashes may not be as durable. If your skin is naturally oily or if you use oily skin care, oily make-up, mascara or eye drops this will affect the bond of the adhesive resulting in de bonding and shedding of the false eyelash. Therefore infill appointments can be booked to replace the lost eyelashes. After care advise will provide you with guide lines on looking after your eyelash extensions.
When and how often should I book for my infills / maintenance?
This depends on your preferences. When you feel like your eyelashes don't have as much volume as you like its time for an infill appointment. You have to have at least 40% of false eyelashes left to qualify for an infill appointment. I charge by the time I spend infilling. On average my clients would go 2-3 weeks between infills. The procedure involves cleansing your existing eyelashes, removing some of the false eyelashes that are about to fall or look misplaced and re-applying lash extensions filling the gaps.
How long does it take for an infill procedure?
It can take 1-1,5 Hrs. for infill procedure.
Can I use mascara with my eyelash extensions?
No regular mascara should be used on the eyelash extensions. Most likely you will not want to use your mascara, but if you do there are specially formulated mascaras available for use with the eyelash extensions.
How do I look after my eyelash extensions?
See Aftercare Section
How can I remove my eyelash extensions if I no longer want them?
Do not attempt to remove eyelash extensions yourself – pulling the false lashes will also pull out natural lashes. Eyelash extensions must be removed professionally using solvent designed specially for dissolving eyelash adhesive to ensure no damage is caused to your lashes.
